How It Started
You know...I never thought that this was where I'd be at this stage in my life....at 40. I grew up in the "all-American" home in a mid-west suburbia town. Doesn't matter which one...what state...outside what city. They're all the same. I dated boys throughout high school, went to all the dances and had dates for the Junior and Senior proms. Again...boys. And cute ones. too. And I married...was in love (or so I thought). It was what we were taught life "should be". By our parents, society, the movies, Carol and Mike Brady, and Ozzie and Harriet. And then...there she was. My heart skipped a beat...and I began to question everything I thought I knew about life, about love, about how I had been taught to believe about God.
